Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search box is transmitted directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Dallam County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email message may be retained as needed to answer it. It remains within the organization unless disclosure is required by a legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can automatically provide the servers with technical information about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, such as popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers help combine that usage information. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how certain features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Dallam County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of dockets or personal case information. It publishes directions to the Dallam County and District Clerk, the courts, and available search systems. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or profiles about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through a box is governed by that provider's privacy terms rather than this policy. Each provider controls its retention and sharing practices, so review those terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to clerk pages, court portals, state search systems, legal-aid resources, or commercial tools. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal details.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites for interest-based advertising.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be received by:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable standard safeguards are used for collected data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so protection efforts cannot eliminate every risk of unauthorized access.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Notice that a minor supplied data will prompt a deletion request review.
Your Data Rights
Rights over personal data depend on the law applicable to the visitor, including relevant Texas privacy and consumer-protection law. The Texas Public Information Act concerns access to government information, not data held by this private site. Texas Rules of Judicial Administration Rule 12 likewise addresses specified judicial records and does not govern this site's visitor data. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. Any replacement will be posted here with an updated effective date, and visitors should review the current version periodically.
